Brief History:
In 1989, Lanie felt a call to pursue a career in television. She went back to school, earned a degree in Radio, Television and Film, and interned at a local network affiliate―all while working as a computer programmer/analyst. She was surprised to learn that Catholic Television of San Antonio was located practically in her backyard. So, in 1991 she began volunteering at CTSA as a camera person and assisting with the CTSA Telethon.
Later, she produced a 5-minute interview spot called “For Your Information” for the “Day to Day Show,” eventually becoming the show’s full-time host and producer.
Lanie has also produced documentaries for CTSA as well as other local companies. After a lengthy career n the computer field, she decided it was time to devote herself solely to working in television. She said, “I am always trying to find ways to live my Catholic faith, so I am gratified to pass this information on to my viewers.”
