Birthplace:
Mary is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and came to Texas in 1984 as a Volunteer for Educational and Social Service (VESS).
Brief History:
Mary's background is in education. She taught at Ed Cody and Carlos Coon Elementary Schools in the Northside Independent School District. She also has taught at St. Leo's in San Antonio and, while in Houston, at Garden Villas in the Houston ISD. Mary has been the Director of the Mission Awareness Office at the Archdiocese of San Antonio since 1991. Currently, she serves as the Vice Chair for the Texas Mission Council. Education Mary's MA degree is in Education, (curriculum and instruction) from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She received her BA in Teacher Certification from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
